Editorial policy
Creative County Review aims for clear, careful accounts of creative work and place. We separate what is established from interpretation, describe uncertainty plainly and correct the record when a detail is wrong.
Accuracy and context
We check names, descriptions and factual claims against suitable information before publication. When a point cannot be firmly established, we avoid presenting it as certain. We write about creative choices with context and care, rather than treating a single example as proof of a wider rule.
Independence
Editorial decisions are made for readers and the subject, not as a reward for a placement or collaboration. A relationship that could affect how a story is understood is disclosed clearly. We do not let a partner determine an independent editorial conclusion.
Corrections
If you spot an error, use the Contact page and identify the article and detail. Include a reliable source when you can. We review correction requests and, when a change is warranted, update the text with a clear note describing the correction.
Paid and partner material
Paid placements and partner material are labelled so readers can distinguish them from independent editorial work. The label appears with the material, not hidden in general page wording. A partnership does not guarantee editorial coverage or a favourable account.
Creativity has a local grain
A place is more than a backdrop. Materials, rooms, habits and shared histories all leave their mark on creative work.
